SELECTED WORK

From a room need
to a working tool.

Examples from live poker-room promotion systems I've developed and maintained. Screens are presented with identifying details removed or sample content.

01 / THE FLOOR & THE STAFF

Keep changing information clear.

Promotions have schedules, qualifiers, countdowns, and prize values. Staff need a practical way to manage them; players need to understand them at a glance.

I built guest-facing displays and the tools behind them, including schedule-based promotion views and focused controls for updating progressive values.

02 / HIGH HAND PROMOTIONS

Put the leading hand in view.

The prize, the hand to beat, and the time remaining belong together on a display players can read across the room.

I built the High Hand display and its staff controls: visual playing cards, a live countdown, hand entry by rank and suit, and automatic or manual promotion scheduling.

The operational detailStaff can update the leading hand while keeping the current prize and promotion controls close at hand. Scheduled changes wait until an active countdown, hand, or pending winner is settled.

03 / PROMOTION STATUS

Make the remaining opportunities visible.

A promotion becomes easier to follow when its status is visible. The full house pyramid distinguishes claimed prizes from the opportunities still available.

My promotion work also includes Football Squares displays, qualification messaging, and event views—adapting the presentation to the way each promotion operates.

04 / THE GUEST EXPERIENCE

Take the schedule beyond the room.

A guest scanning a QR code should be able to find what's happening now and what's coming next.

The guest promotions page organizes the daily schedule into active and upcoming promotions, with tomorrow's schedule, the original calendar, and links to public display views.

EXPERIENCE ON BOTH SIDES

The work continues
after the first screen.

Working in a poker room means seeing where information needs to be clearer, where a rule changes, and where a control needs to be easier to use during a shift.

That experience shapes how I build and refine these tools: readable screens, practical staff controls, and updates informed by everyday use.

The same approach can support tournament operators, event spaces, and other venues with changing public information.
